Anisha Hegde is a graduating senior at the University of California, Irvine with a major in biomedical engineering and a specialization in microfluidics. Since January of 2015, Anisha has been working in Dr. Albert Yee’s lab who is developing an artificial cornea made entirely out of PMMA. In this project, she is investigating the differences in cellular response to different nanopatterns. Anisha hopes to improve the user experience of Ohana band by keeping kids engaged in physical activity through exciting games and competitions.
